Engineering Overview
THE VIPER: The Viper is an electrically powered coiling machine suitable for the measuring and despatch of cables (from a payout machine, jacks or racking) up to 35mm in diameter. As standard the machine is fitted with manual hydraulic jacking to raise and lower the drum, but motorised hydraulic lift can be supplied if required. Cable is fed from the payout medium through a calibrated measuring head to the despatch side of the machine, paid onto a drum or simple coiling head. The unit is very simple in operation and highly mobile around the warehouse with a positive braking system when in operation.
THE BOA: The Boa provides the ultimate in fast and efficient cable reeling for heavy duty drums and cable. Independent lateral movement of the pintle arms enables the drum bores to be located one side at a time, and this mechanism does not require the drum to be central in the machine prior to clamping. Dual operator stations allow operation from either side of the machine, and variable speed motors provide smooth, controlled reeling.
