CURRENT STAGE: Step 01: 1. Power Up

The Exact Sequential Operational Process

Autoreel's shaftless floor loading completely eliminates heavy loose steel mandrels and crane handling.

1. Power Up

Three phase power is attached to the right-hand mast socket, engaging the main safety circuit. The amber strobe beacon pulses atop the mast, powering up the hydraulic systems and steering tiller.

2. Manoeuvre & Dock

The operator deploys the power steering tiller to smoothly drive the machine on its durable polyurethane castors, docking squarely into operating position with cage already raised.

3. Arms Down

The hydraulic radial arms swing downward to ground level, positioning the pins lower ready to receive the drum.

4. Roll Drum In

The wooden cable drum is rolled directly across the shop floor into the loading area without requiring any overhead cranes or loose steel mandrels.

5. Arm Pinch In

The operator uses the arm console to pinch both radial arms inward symmetrically, seating the precision hardened alloy pins securely into the drum bore.

6. Drive Dog Alignment

The operator positions the torque drive bracket to match the drum's drive hole, and screws the dual drive dog pins into positive lock for high-torque transmission.

7. Cage Down

The operator now uses the rear main control panel to lower the perimeter safety cage. Dual optical and mechanical safety interlocks arm before drive motor activation.

8. Arms Raise

The operator raises the dual high-pressure hydraulic lifting cylinders to elevate the radial arms and locked drum off the shop floor into full operating clearance.

9. Accelerate & Spin

The operator uses the panel to fully control the speed of the primary spindle drive motor through the planetary gearbox, accelerating the drum steadily to speed for safe high-speed winding.

10. Brake to Stop

When ready the operator brings the high-inertia cable drum smoothly to a controlled standstill at 0 RPM.

11. Arms Lower

The hydraulic radial arms lower the cable drum gently back down until it rests securely on the floor.

12. Cage Up

The perimeter safety cage rises overhead on dual gas struts, opening the bay for finished reel unloading.

13. Arms Open Out

The drive pins retract from the flange, and the main shaft pins slide outward, and the radial arms swing open to release the drum.

14. Roll Out

The operator rolls the loaded drum safely out of the loading bay directly onto the shop floor toward packaging.

15. Manoeuvre Back

The operator can now easily load a new drum or steer the machine smoothly back to its original parked storage position.
